  5. Decided to sell my XB8 2019 as I'm not going to get around to racing it. It's only had around 15 tanks through it. It'll come with the engine that is in the car pictured which is a Reds Racer R5R which runs well and has had the same amount of fuel through it as the car. The servos that are fitted though the steering servo needs to be replaced. A engine heater and 3s battery to power it. A 2s LRP receiver pack. A SMD starter box with a 12v battery. Spare airfilters. Some fuel. A set of Schumacher mini spikes. The C hub option that comes with the XB8 kit. Looking for £650. Collection only. The only things you'll need are a Transmitter and Receiver and to replace the steering servo. Any questions PM me. Will not split.

  12. my mate got into rc this year martin first time he driven rcs since he was young he now has a typhon 3s and outcast 6s he bashes hard too and hasn't damaged anything apart from change the shocks on the 3s to 6s ones as we hit massive jumps at that track.but as a newbie he has his moments usually his or someone elses shins haaha and the arrma just carries on !! you can dail the throttle down on tx martin but teach young un throttle control and then he can use what he needs too

  14. If I had the money I would have spent out a bit more, but I don’t... I’ve driven a VRS with this suspension with more power than I’m running and it was big improvement over my tired stock suspension, but if I keep the car for a longer amount of time I may consider spending a bit more 👍

  15. For the money? Or lack of. Knowing three people with them isn’t really good research tbh. Not trying to put you down but you get what you pay for. Ive done the modded thing and have a heavily modified LCR at present. I speak from experience, there is no comparison with more expensive quality products. But it’s each to their own and budget plays a roll. If you have a bigger budget available then I’d invest it in the shocks. It’s a big part of the car. As a side note, someone above mentioned going low doesn’t always mean it will handle any better, sometimes worse. He’s not wrong. In fact lots of cars perform much worse on track and road when slammed. It’s a misconception that lower = more grip and better handling. There are a few elements that effect it. Bash, Break, Build, Repeat...

  16. Haha good point😂.The radio that comes with them now has 3 settings for power but from what I have read I don't know if I would trust the stock radio. My v4 kraton came with one but I never ran it with it and swap it straight over to a tactic one.

  17. You can also just use an M4 serrated washer behind the wheelnut. Works well.

  18. Arrma hands down. Currently have x2 and a third on the wish list....funding welcome from anyone My nephew has his Granite running on 2s who is turning 7 in October - Yes it does seem a little too much but they can manage in a large area. Worst case you'll have another one to add to the collection

  19. Locktite. Oh the flashbacks. I put on lock tite because I didn't have any nyloc nuts at the time. Once I got proper nyloc nuts, I put it on the shaft. But the existing Locktite sized the nut onto the shaft. I lost an aluminium hex hub, a shaft, a knuckle and a nut just because Locktite. Please just use nyloc nuts without anything else.

  21. Arrma every time mate, pretty tough and spares are everywhere now, also The Typhon would have a much better resale value if he didn’t take to the hobby.

  23. Have you tried a solder paste and a gas torch? I guess if the wires are spliced together, conformal coating will hold them in place.

  24. If the voltage isn't exceeding 4.2 per cell, then I'd say it's been mislabled and is far bigger. Result for you?
