Well said Manny! To be honest I think we need a neg. rep system, what finchalan said comparing Tamiyas to Nikkos is completely wrong and misleading, and also insulting to people like me and Manny who are rather fond of Tamiya Matt2 points

If you want something tough for bashing - the Traxxas car is going to be a better bet. That said - some of the Tamiya buggies are pretty good. I have a Durga with brushless setup. Great little car, but doesn't take the abuse very well.2 points

I would stick with the Traxxas Rustler over a Tamiya any day... Theres nothing wrong with Tamiyas, There are some quality Tamiyas out there, but there is also plenty of junk, hardest bit with Tamiyas is knowing whats what as their line up is soo huge, and very varried in quality.... If your looking for a thrash and forget style vehicle, Traxxas will serve you well..1 point

Can we leave it now guys, it's just turning in to a slanging match1 point

Roscope, you are making the right choice there. learn new things with the rustler, then move on to a tamiya. Sounds great to me.1 point

I think its only the old TT01 that came with friction shocks.1 point

Forgot to add, remind me who the current Touring car world champion is and what car does he drive Matt1 point

+1. Traxxas cars generally need something replacing straight away. I've had problems with 2 Traxxas motors (2.5 and 3.3). Traxxas electric vehicles generally need the motor replacing very soon as they go wrong so oftem. I've often heard bad stories about VXL ESC's aswell. No don't go saying Tamiya are **** without doing proper research! Rant over (I hope) Matt1 point

How on earth did you work that out? Compare a TT01 to a Nikko, a TT01 is millions of times better than anything Nikko make! Matt1 point
-
I completely disagree with this topic. I've owned two Traxxas cars and numerous Tamiya cars, from a humble TT01 to a TRF415MSX, and I'd rate Tamiya's far higher quality than a Traxxas. I had no end of problems with both Traxxas cars, yet the only things that went wrong with my Tamiya's were due to user error. I only ever broke one part on my TT01, and that was crashed into everything from parked cars, plant pots, trees, walls, kerbs, fences and it was ran-over by a mate on his bike. The only time it broke was when I was jumping it! Manny will hate you if he sees this Matt1 point

Don't want to have to go down this road but I have to say something. Your WRONG. With out Tamiya most designs you see in RC would not be here here today. Toys? Toys? Toys? Toy? Toy? Toys? Toys? My points been well and truly proven.1 point

Traxxas rcs are way better, tamiya are mostly overprice, and there very simalar to Nikko rc toys! but with replacable bits.. rofl1 point

Stick with the traxxas. It will be better than something like a DF02. Or most other tamiya buggys. *Runs before Manny sees this.*1 point

And ???? This country has been turning into a storage yard for other countries stuff for years. Think were turning into a specialised parts manufacturing country. For example, Nuts and bolts, You can get them cheaper from china than to produce them here, Except i have a very good friend who owns a company that manufacture specialised nuts and bolts for the oil rig industry and the food industry. Here's got that much work he doesn't know where to turn next.1 point

still think it should be in feedback...... someone sent me something for free and i just paid postage - i didn't thanks them in the lounge - i did it by PM and by their feedback thread....so have to agree with Keenan & Kieron i'm afraid..... but surely whats more pointless is that here we all are bickering about it and making this pointless thread even longer....1 point
-
nope i give away free stuff and i get feedback for it, he has also offered you a free service, pointless thread imo, could be resolved in his feedback1 point

Thats unlucky. But before we go picking at rapearson we need to think - maybe the engine ran and he was just unaware that it was running badly, or the carb settings were set so he couldnt tell it was running badly... If he didnt take the head off he may have genuinely not known! Just give him a chance to defend himself before we go having a stab at him or say banning him may be in order1 point
