Hey guys hows it going?

A friend and i have found a right spot for bashing in clifton moor. If you search for Rose Avenue, York in google maps. it is just at the back of that industrial estate. it looks like a bit of a make shift MX track but it is a lot of fun and some nice jumps and banks to play on.

Anyone fancy meeting up on the weekend at all?

Hi Nick (and all)

Realise this is a very old thread!

I recently moved to Easingwold and have just been (re)bitten by the RC bug and looking for folks to meet up with and places to bash in the area.
Know the park very well but will definitely check out the White Horse too - thanks for the tip!

Cheers!

Hi @EddieL, welcome to the forum, there's some good bashing near Sutton bank visitor centre, but best to go when it's closed, some cyclists don't like you being there. There's fun to be had at the top of Rosedale chimney bank, bashing and crawling, and several other nice little spots all over the moors

Hi @EddieL

I know that town VERY well, you've picked a good place to move to. 😉 Welcome! I have been to Sutton Bank car park a lot too, excellent jumps around the edges!

Other places for RC, it's finding times when it's not busy. Millfield Park is good but usually busy. Crayke playing field is quite good as not much going on there, just a flat field though and gravel car park. There's also the business park with plenty of tarmac in Easingwold on weekends/after hours when they've all closed up, street is called Birch Way where Dobsons motors is.

Hey @Nick, thanks for all that, I will definitely check them out! Are you still based in the area too? Be up for a meet-up if you are and fancy it?

My main problem is keeping my basher on the road atm. I keep breaking it due to poor luck/shocking driving skills!

Latest was driving straight into a small stone ‘monument’ in Easingwold Park at full tilt. Somehow the impact rippled through to the rear and broke the gearbox and bent the metal motor mount plate!

Just fixed it though and will be out bashing again soon when the weather allows!
