Why do you have to put the screws into the alloy clutch shoes for the sav 4.6?, you put em in before you attach the shoes to the clutch, what they for?

btw I don't see what all the fuss is about lol installing the clutch shoes looks easy enough to me :P

adds a extra weight i think for the 4.6 and you have to use the gold looking metal sping things for the 4.6 but the 25 uses the silver ones for some reason

yeh so I noticed,

wen the spring is in the shoe and on the clutch do u have to force one end of the spring over sumthing to create a resistance?

did you not get instrctions because when i built my 4.6 the clutch gave me nightmares lol, you need to bend it over the centre rod(sorry did not know what to call it) using a small flat headed screw driver

well i got instructions but sorta lost em lol, don't matter though i can see what i need to do jus was'nt sure on bendin the spring but am now, no probs

the silver springs are a little softer, alowing the clutch to engage at the right time for the lower powerd engine. the k44.6 uses gold one sas they are harder. meaning they engage a little later due to the power. the little grub screws are to be put in if you want a later engagment or take them out if you want an early clutch engagment.

alloy shoes are high maintenance too...youll find they burr over time and will eventually stall your engine if the burrs get big enough to catch the bell.

a file will work wonders.
