Thunderwolf
you use threadlock when you have to screw in a metal skrew to a metal surface, it stops it come loose then coming out, used on the engine mount to the engine and other parts like it. philipalli
rc sammy wont advise it
salman
Youl get Shock oil With the 4.6 kit! Thread lock is Advised, Its like Metal to metal Glue. So say, The Screw that goes on the end of the Crankshaft to hold the Clutch bell on has to be Lock tighted. It just Keeps it Held in. Make sure you get Blue thread lock, The red one can be a pain to gte off!

salman
no it is the right link, savage ss (or super sport) you can get the ss with a nitro star engine but no radio aswell. You bloody Dumbass! Right: A Savage kit is Available in Many forms. The 4.6 SS, The 25 SS and the Discontinued SS And you can get the Savages In RTR form. All the Savage Kit forms are Named Super-sport. Many/All HPI Engines are Called Nitro-star ...... . So The Link you Showed me is Of the HPI Savage SS 25. The 25 is a ****in Nitro Star engine! Mate, I highly Suggest with the Experience You have got, No offence but You Do sound like a Right Prick not knowing Anything about the Savage! You should get Something Begginer friendly, Ie: The MT2, It wont be the Best Available but it is All RTR and is Made for begginers! I dont think with your Experience your Gonna be able to Start the Dam car!
MR_TiGGer
No doubt you've read I'm gettin a 4.6 soon so can someone help me out on a few easy questions pleeze ok, do you get shock oil in the 4.6 kit? and what difference does the weight make? Finally what the hell is threadlock?? Thanx'all The weight question you asked>> Very important, I upgraded my 30 weight to 50 weight in my Revo rear shocks, put them back in and lasted one session and had to flush it all all out. Basically I thought the 30W was too soft but the Revo needs this to keep it supple over loose terain, and 40W is really when you're on racing smooth surfaces and you need the stability and 50W??? Well you pull away, the ar##se end squats down ................... and doesn't want to come back up again for about an hour:( Of course this is the Revo which has different spring & shock rates but you'll find there is a default weight for everyday bashing, just little increments when increasing it, either 5 or 10max UNLESS you change the size/count of the holes in the plunger inside the shock, then it does get complicated Help ya? Grrrr:-) BTW if you want different shock weights look on ebay, cheep!! You bloody Dumbass! Right: A Savage kit is Available in Many forms. Got a Bit of a headache! Been outside in the Freezing weather for 6 Hours Tunning Rc's with only a T-shirt on! But still, It is a Bit Dumb Thinking a Nitro Star Was a Different engine! Rather than a Range of them! And not Looking Propely at Previous Post's! And I think you are Wrong when you Say "Your post is nor Respectfull..." I think it is to "The Savages"

Samari
1.Stop argueing people. 2.Blue theadlock is what I would advise. I've found the red stuff to be too strong and difficult to get off.

dazzi220
can you buttholes give it a rest? do you get the shock oil in the savvy 4.6 kit? if so what weight?
nitromotorhead
Yes you get shock oil in the kit. 2 Bottles of the stuff, sufficient for all 8 shocks. I’m not certain of the viscosity, but at a random guess id say 15wt It’s quite thin, yellow in colour. It worked fine in my shocks, but after a few weeks I decided to renew the fluid with some silicone 35wt oil. (This was purely so I knew what I was running, and is perfect for bashing.) Thinking about it there is not mush difference in handling between the stock oil (whatever it is) and the 35 wt. As for the thread lock I use loctite 222 (low strength) and 243 (medium) on the savage. 222 Data 243 Data
