muhuha
right my tmaxx or any tmaxx. What would make it go faster. sirio .18 engine 20% fuel (1.9hp, 41000 rpm) lightweight sensible gearing 22c/b and 70 or 68 spur. (any engine strain)? or picco p2 20% (2.1hp and 32000rpm- ) light weight same or slightly higher gearing or..... .26 engine running 25% fuel heavier by 800g+ much higher gearing 24c/b and 64 spur. Which would you recommend. I'd prefer to stick with the sirio but how much could i get out of it? .26 with high gearing- will it still destroy the transmition and diffs? cheers
madmanluke
buy a savage would be your answer. any of those, would wreck the tmaxx any way unless you have every thing heavy dutied up

madmanluke
im not on about that truck (even though it is pretty crap to be honest, wall fall to pieces compared to the abuse savages get) im on about the fuel content in the smaller displacment engine. will just over heat it as 18 sized engines should only be run up to 20% nitro max, 16 is better for the engine. I've read people run 20-25% on their sirio 18 and im running 25% duroaglow or dynaglow. Was up in devon this morning using on some massive common (over 20 miles or free land) and it ran perfectly well extremerly fast (higher gearing to come) I believe maxx's can be miles better than savages. Anyway that can wait till i come to maxbashing . cheers
MR_TiGGer
Before I Bought my revo I nearly bought an old .15 t-maxx off eBay, my plan was to wait for the TRX pro to die then upgrade to the 2.5R revo engine, about £60 ish new from the states on a "Buy it Now" and the convertion kit from Traxxas and a pull start rather than pay for the EasyStart II. But Revo called me by name ... I couldn't help myself thankfully My SportMaxx (T-Maxx 2.5 without 4x4) is a cracking truck and bonkers fast:-) Just a TiGGers humble opinion Grrrrr:-) (On 25% Tornado btw and the proper Revo 2.5R in blue is aprox 47'000 RPM not the silver headed 2.5 in the MAxx's) Edited September 6, 2005 by MR_TiGGer
