Just picked up a big table top mat thing from lidl for

Right back again and this time with an FTDI programmer  : http://www.unmannedtechshop.co.uk/ftdi-basic-5v.html

 

now the above is a 5v breakout board to programme via FTDI pins,

used for quadcopters to program them in flight and receive direct telemetry.

 

BUT thats not all this little thing does, its a micro processor programmer so can also be used with 

Arduino and the likes.  these devices sell for anything upto

Found a cheapy soldering iron (60watt) in the gardening section .

I allready an iron but worth a punt maybe at 3.40 pound.  You'll need to switch out the plug but still even if it don't work it's not like you lost anything.  Oh and free shipping too
