Turb()
I have got some deans connectors that I want to fit to a car. Was just wondering what is the standard way they should be? I.e. does the male connector go on the car or the battery? and which pin should be + and which should be -? I know it doesnt matter as long as I do it all the same for me, but say i got a car with a deans connector I want my batter to fit and vice versa! TiM!
It does matter. Put the female connectors on your batterys, and the male connectors on your cars and chargers. The top of the "T" is +.
Menagruth
The female connector goes on the battery, male on the car. On deans connectors the top of the T is +. EDIT: Tim beat me. Edited July 19, 2009 by Menagruth
Turb()
Lol. It wouldnt matter if i had + going to + and - going to - All it is doing is completing the circuit. But thanks!
TiM!
Yeah but if you need to use someone else's battery and its the right way then you are stuck.

TiM!
Stick to tamiya there so much better there will be no bang when it goes tits up due to the wrong way round hahahah Once deans are soldered on the right ways its impossible to connect them up the wrong way. Tamiya connectors are so bad its not even funny.

mrklaw
you put the female on the battery so you don't accidentally short it on a piece of metal - no prongs sticking out.
