Search the forum for eZRun mate there is masses of info on them. Yes the Hong Kong sellers are safe, I've had excellent service from them. You should look for a 60A setups and look for the X.5T (I run the 8.5T on a 2S LiPo and it's pretty bloody quick in my Slash) motors. If the haven't got a .5 then they are not true 540 size and actually 380 size with fins to fit a 540 can.

I've got the 5.5t (540 size) and the 9t (380 with fins) and can safely say the 9t is a better 2wd motor. Admittedly the 5.5 is too much, and I suspect the 8.5 (which I haven't used) is an excellent motor for a 2wd buggy, but the fact is the 9T is a pretty decent motor.

Its not slow in a lightweight 2wd buggy like the Madrat or my B4. Its true its not a 'proper' 540 sized motor, but the result is that it has less torque than a 540 sized, not that it has less rpms. Since most brushless systems are a little too torquey for 2wds, this is not really a disadvantage.

As well as the two ezruns, I've also got an LRP X11 7.5t, which was bought for my B4. I've actually found that I do better with the 9t Ezrun - its a little slower but a lot more controlable. Power is nothing without control......

But get the 60A esc over the 35A. Again I've got both, and both work fine but whilst the 60A can run the 5.5t, 9t and even the LRP 7.5t, the 35A can only run the 9t. For the tiny price difference the more flexible esc makes a lot of sense.

ive got the 5.5t ezrun and 60a esc in my ansmann mad rat , and they work great , admittably the 5.5t is a bit too much power but unless you have a crappy transmitter then you can turn the power down anyways :)
