LST or Savage 4.6?

i was pretty much decided on getting the Savage 4.6 but when asking my LHS he said dont bother with it the LST is a much better truck & faster. Is this true?

I know many people will disagree with me, there was a thread a while ago just like this a while ago but, basically, the LST is better, however it needs some money put into it and it has a higher initial cost.

Both trucks need some money put into them to make them very good, however the LST has more potential as it has massively better performance than the savage, however alot of money is needed to make it as tough as the savage, but then you need to put alot of money into the savage to get it performing well.

Basically if you want to spend less go with the savvy, if money isn't a barrier go with the LST.

These are my personal opinions so don't start flaming.

Few people have the LST, it is the most expensive nitro MT and has only recently been released, whereas the Savage is one of the best selling MT's of all time (second to the T-Maxx), most people just vote for the one they have/have seen.

I have just got a Savvy 4.6, I looked at the LST but it was pricey and I like the look of the Savage and the toys that are out for it.

My descision to but the savvy was not based on performance at all, I dont race so I dont really care about performance but the Savvy is well put together and is fun to drive.

IMO

Bashing.... savage wins due to its tvp design and strong plastics make it a very strong truck at an affordable price+loads of spares easily available.

Racing..... LST wins because of the design of the chasis means it has a lower cg which increases its performance on the track+better steering etc etc

As already mentioned the lst means a few pennies chucking at it to make it a bit stronger in places and the savage does also to improve performance.

at the end of the day they are both brilliant trucks!!!

I drove my 4.6 almost full pelt into a wall when i tried to jump some steps and only thing that happened was the air filter fell off

theres a good noticable improvement, i've got a 21, the 3 speed is good but i'm not a racer so don't have anything to compare it to, i only got it cos it was on the cheap, but worth it imo

Don't buy the 3 speed. Simple, drive the truck for a month then figure out what you want/need.

There really is no contest-the LST every time. You won't regret making the LST your choice.
