adzee
Just bought an STS Monster 28 Engine for my savage. Anyone out there got any tips for whats the best fuel / glow plug config is? Also what gear ratios you use for short grass ? I will be using a 3 speed tranny.
dazzi220
is that a hpi engine? better than the 4.6?
adzee
is that a hpi engine? better than the 4.6? ← No its not HPI, Its fresh from TAIWAN! I think it should be on par with the HPI 4.6, as the box for the STS says 4.66cc. Half the price though!

waz
The STS is meant to be a real good engine! I'd use 18/47 myself as I hate excessive wheelie's, but you will still get wheelie's on command with that gearing option. Use OS#8 plugs, and the only fuel I ever use anymore is O'Donells or Tornado 25%. Thanks
dgreat001
The sts.28 is a great engine,i use 17/47 and i broke it in with a hot plug and now i use a medieum one,the only problem i had and i know alot of other people had it is around about the 20th tank the one way starts to slip but it is easily sorted.I use tornado 20%. Merlin
Yup same here, run it on 17/47 and a hot plug for breakin-in, once complete, don't forget to remove the head shims, take out the 2 copper shims, and watch the baby fly! I now run it on 25% and a cold plug, its in me truggy, great engine!
adzee
Well I'm all exited thanks for gr8 advice, i suppose with all that extra power i'd better upgrade my transmission to the new 4 bevel gears! or my old one will end up on the floor before i've moved!
