Want an lst

Im getting abit bored with my savvy and i want something new ive heard only good things about the lst,you think its worth selling my savage for the lst?whats the main differnces between the two?and my savage is hopped up.

Well i know its a little late to reply, but i think the losi is a very nice truck its very strong and fast, i own three out of the top 5 current trucks and i have spent nearly well over £2500 on the revo from scratch and bought the lst for just £385 savage for £320 and the lst gets the most use its great fires up nicely and handles very very well personal opinion but the savage seems to tipple to easy for me as does the revo, not as much forgiving as the lst. the lst has a big over all stance and likes to stick to the ground better ( for me any ways)

All this talk about the arms being weak is a problem that only a few people have had, I HAVE NEVER BROKEN AN ARM. I have raced my LSt twice a week since April, yet to break an arm. The only hop ups that are needed are the aluminim diff cases.

Other stuff makes it go better but are not needed to run the truck in a race situation. I always carry a spare pack of arms but have yet to need them, that is why I have refused to buy into the aluminium RPM arms.

Racing a R/C is just as harsh on your truck as bashing in my opinion. The LSt is bigger and fastest then any other MOnster truck so when it crashes it is going to put a lot more stress on parts. I would rather a arm broke that can be replaced for £3 instead of a shock absorber.

well i was one of the first to get an LST in the UK. I try to defend it as much as i can, but basically it has faults. you just have to decide if you are willing to fix the faults.

the arms are definatly weak, cannot beleive you havnt had problems with them.

but at the end of the day, i decided i wanted the best truck. sure the LST is more expensive, but once the faults are fixed its definatly the better truck. even the most die-hard savage fans would be hard pressed to say the savage is a better truck than the LST when they are both hopped-up.

personally, if you hop the LST up then its a clear winner. if you use them both stock, then its a close-call. the LST would still probably be my favourite, as alot of issues with it have been fixed. (when it first came out, it was to be honest, a mess, so many faults, but its alot better now!)

when you get RPM arms, titanium turnbuckles, rollbar is just f'kin unbeleivable. at the last TM bash i just kept sending it full throttle off the biggest ramp, because i knew it could handle it. the RPM arms make a HELL of a difference.

ok guys the lst is god for lots of things..especially holding a tune..i had one..and solt it so i could get a savage...THE SAVAGE IS AS SENSETIVE A A [CENSORED] DRAMA QUEEN!! i HATE the savage it is luggy it is hard on turning the engine is nice tho..the arms on it a as soft as a babys batty verdict..lst...cheaper verdict GET A MAXX

i cant stand the savage i had spent aporx 60 quid repairing parts on the savage...the lst im sure was like a blackbox indestructable no douby..get stronger springs tho..they are the only thing i had to replace with upgraded trinity blue springs..stiff ones

It's Kev who Made me get it,

After Seeing it Jump at the TM Bash and Only 2WD Some of the Day it Still went like a Rocket and Handel Really Well,

The First time Out with mine i Stabbed the Breaks from about Half Throttel and Ended up doing 2 Front Rolls, So the Breaks are Damn Strong and Useable when you get used to them, There is alot of Weight to mine now with the Alloy and other Stuff but Planning on more Alloy and Mabey a 32 if i get the Cash, Then it will Really Move some,

And a Stock LST can Thrash a RB23 Revo Pretty Easie,

In Acceleration and top Speed the LST Easily Beat the Revo,

It Handels so well, With Stock Tires on Tarmac i Cannot make mine Tip Over, Its Plantered Solid, Even Going Full Speed around a 90 Bend just wont Do it, Just Grips and Grips and that without my New 40 Series wheels and Tires for it,

Never Had mine Stock but saw a Few Arms Break with Kev but just Depends on what you hit, Kev hit a Tree Stump a WOT i think and it Made one Hell of a Thud And Made me Jump Back Damn Fast, the LST went off un hurt, Same day just later on he Went Full Throtel in the a Wooden Fence and Broke the Fence and the Truck, Just Depends on how Hard you want to take it,

If you Look at Merlins it Tough as Nails, Same with Kevs, Mines on the Way thoguh.

BTW Kev what Filter do you Have?

The LSt arms have still yet to fail on my LST, mine is a newer LSt though so maybe that has something to do with it? I am not going to get the RPM arms until I have broken an arm. I race the truck, never really bash it, so maybe that is why? Then again I do believe racing just exerts as much force against the LST as bashing would.

Why would you want a rollbar though? Surely that is only needed if you can not drive the truck?

i need a rollbar because im bashing not racing. when bashing i send it off ramps and try to do backflips ext. if you do 1 and 1/2 flips for example - then you need a roll bar!

you are right, racing does exert just as much stress but in different ways, in bashing you are more likely to hit hard upside down, in racing it will be other areas that take the punishment.

Indeed the LSt does shift. Stick O'DOnnells 25% in it, get it tuned and in 2nd gear the LST is absolutely flies!!! I love my LST and would not change it!!
