Hoping the weekend, just don't get that much time anymore on an evening with the little man being at the age he is :) But, not that much to do now :)

merlin which tvps are they? how much did you manage to get them for?

What shock/spring combo are you planning to run and are you going to install the adjustable top arms? i've got some if your interested.

Did you have to mod your engine plate with those tvps or is it a different one?

sorrry about all the questions just nice to see a savvy going down the path i like! ;)

Yo, no probs with the questions, i don't mind :) I'm am going to stick with the stock shocks because i have had no problems with em, i had the HPI aluminium ones for a brief period a while back and bent 3 of em in my first outing. I may go for some stiffer springs yet, i'm not sure :)

As for the adjustable arms, i got a set with the 4.6 but am sticking wth the non-adjustable ones for now, as it will only be used for blasting about at the mo, if i decide to start racing it the adjustable ones witth some into play i reckon.

I got this TVP from ebay USA from Bandit engineering, only thing i needed to do was drill a hole for the roll bar to screw into the receiver box, and use a rear drivershaft which is longer for the front, there was a little play with the rear one too, but i used a little bit of fuel tubing to fill the gaps, thats sweet now :)

yeah those ally shocks aren't that good i kept bending them too. Those tvps do look nice are they the ones that lower the transmission but keep the engine at its stock height?hence thae reason why you can still run the stock engine plate?

I don't know whether or not you've ran the lcg tvps before but if you haven't you'll be in for a pleasant surprise has they transform the savage's handling. :D

Does your brake lever look a bit short now? mijne did so made a thicker/longer one out of an old shock shaft, works brilliantly as it now provides more leverage.

cool, thanks for the heads up rob, according to the manual, the engine is lowerd slightly, but no need for a different engine plate, i'm now considering taking the buggy shock setup of another sav i have and slapping it on here, i think it will compliment the LCG TVP's wonderfully. Hoping to get it done debore the TM Bash, just had no time for myself lately :(

yeah i find the buggy shocks to work really well and save a bit of weight, are you planning to put the shocks on the stock towers and to the upper arm or getting some different towers?

Which buggy shocks are you planning to run mate, i would like to spend a bit of money on some but i don't know to much about the best ones to buy. At the moment i just run the rear ones off a hyper 7 with the black or blue springs these are inexpensive and haven't shown any durability problems as yet but i'm starting to wonder about up grading from these.

Ask c0sie abput the shocks i got him, they are off the Ofna MBX Pro, very similar to the Hyper shocks, but of a higher quality, and have threaded aluminium bodies, i have had no issues at all with these, and are very durably, plus they are only £15 a pair, Bonus! :D

Hi all,

Could someone tell me where to get a Collari .30 in the uk. I have tried searching but have had no luck.

I did a 20ft jump in my savage and unfortunatly landed on the roof, the engine took the brunt of it so it's now a book end :(

How much are they too?

Cheers,

Tony

P.S. That thing looks wicked with the carbon fibre

unsure if you can get them in the UK yet mate, best bet is Ebay.com, your looking about £120 inc. postage to the UK.

As far as oils go, i aint really thought about that yet in this particualer sav, what you running and what are your impressions?

Thats ebay.com (usa) Nothng on there at the mo, i think most places are out of stock at the mo, although i did win an auction on friday which finished at $192 for my cousin cos hes so impressed with mine. Don't forget to get the roto version, it will save you alot of hassle!

I've ran as low as 20wt front,25wt rear on a bumpy track that is with hyper 7 shocks with the black springs.

On a smother track i'd go maybe even up to 40wt f, 45wt r and use the harder blue springs.

I'm running 10000wt in the front diff and 3000wt in the rear, this set up seems to be working great for me at the minute. ;)
