Welcome to the forum! :)

The Madbull comes fitted with a "Mechanical Speed Control" - it has like a moving arm when you accelerate on a circuit board? Should look like this:

To get a better motor you need to replace the "Mechanical Speed Control" with an "Electric" one - so it can handle better motors. These cost anywhere around £20+. Then you can get a good motor for £30.

I recommend this Speed Control which has reverse:

I recommend this motor:

When you have them, just remove the old motor and mechanical speed control - then it is just plug in and play! Then it should be nice and quick! You can get cheaper motors but won't be worth the money over performance. :)

Feel free to ask any more questions.
