Not been on here in a while, good to see a rock crawler section. So here are a few pics of mine, will start with the current ones.

Losi Mini Rock Crawler much modified

This is my 2.2 crawler, it has axial axles, rc4wd transmission and a carbon fibre chassis (silver weave)

Thought I would share these pics of my other half's old stick clod. She loved that shell and insisted I paint it that colour, photos taken in the highlands.

There was also the older version, a Twinset designed chassis... Big Lil she named it.

Very pleased with the fit, wheelbase is spot on letting me lower the arches right over the wheels without any rubbing.

Might be a little while before its painted. It's very hard to mask up, and the colours I want don't help.

Lets just say that I won't be painting it. :whistling::ph34r:

One of these days when funds permit, I'll be getting myself a CC01, but until then I'm using my TL01 and doing what I can to turn it into a semi-passable scaler. So far I have fitted a 55-turn motor and servo winch, locked the diffs, raised the suspension as far as it'll go, fitted a pair of TL01B front bumpers to the front and rear of the chassis and added a home-made tow hitch to the back and nudge bar to the front. The Stadium Raider/Wild Dagger bodyshell is fitted with a set of wing mirrors from the Tamiya Fiat 500 in an attempt to make it look a little more scale-like. Next major purchase will be a set of reasonably realistic 1.9 wheels and tyres to replace the ugly buggy wheels/tyres on there at the moment. Further scale bits and pieces will be added when I get around to making them.

Even with these very minor mods, the truck is surprisingly good in the rough, even if it is lacking in the scale looks department. Plus, it makes a very good tow vehicle.

Here's some pictures of my recently acquired Losi Micro Crawler.

It's got the DP chassis so no springs and plenty of articulation. I've also got the BWD wheel weight kit, along with their hardware kit and finally wrapped each rim with solder and star cut the foams for mucho rock crawling ability! I must say Don who runs/owns BWD is excellent, fast, courteous and very helpful.
