mrdickster
I Need help i am looking to buy new wheels & tyres for my GV Mammoth Truck but im not sure which type of fitting is suitable. I have seen some wheels i like which apparently use a 14mm hex fitting. Does anyone know if they would fit or if there are any adapters available to convert the fitting? If its any help the wheels im looking at fit the T-Maxx, Revo and Savage trucks. Any help would be greatly apreciated.
waz
Welcome to the boards! TBH, I know close to nothing about the mamoth, however, if you just buy some 14mm wheels you should be tottaly fine. If you have a problem buy some 14mm wheel hex's, they will be cheap too. For wheel's, really it depends on what you want, dish wheels are good for racing, however something like velocity 6 rims or HPI 5 spoke wheels look good. Tell us what surface you drive on and how much you expect from a tyre for a reccommendation. Thanks
mrdickster
Thanks its nice to be here I'm sorry i didn't explain myself very well here's a photo of the arm on my truck http://homepage.ntlworld.com/richard.hutch...l%20fitting.jpg Would you take a look and tell me if it looks like a standard sort of fitting as the guy at modelsport told me the parts weren't always standard on these cars and i'm now a little worried that the wheels i'm currently winning on ebay aren't going to fit

waz
Well normally there isn't just a pin, there is a hexagon shape upon it. You will probably have to buy some but they are cheap. Search ebay for T-Maxx hex.

By the way I love the avator, looks painful though! http://homepage.ntlworld.com/richard.hutch.../hex%20nuts.jpg I just found a pdf for my truck online with these on it. mrdickster
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/richard.hutch...n7/IMG_4160.JPG As you can see the wheel just slots on over the pin. I'm just heading out to modelsport so hopefully they will be able to sort something out for me.
