it depends what you want it for.

i would say its between the LST, savage 4.6 and revo.

personally i voted for LST. i own one and do think its the best truck, but it does cost more than some people can afford and not quite as strong as the savage, but all in all i think tis the best. the savage and revo and both great trucks though.

You can obtain parts from Halfords because it is the best selling RC MT, I wonder why that is?

You claim the Savvy is slow but it is only about 3mph slower (stock) than its nearest counterparts (Revo, LST, BFT) and 3mph is not a difference you easily notice.

Yes I think the LST is a better car but don't discredit the Savvy, it is by far the strogest RC there is. It also has a much wider array of hop-ups than other nitro MT's aswell as having good customer support (somthing the Revo doesn't!)

I seriously doubt every word you posted there

The savage has more hop-ups because its the oldest truck out there and as for it being the toughest dont make me laugh, ive spend £100's making my savages strong enough to take the abuse and ive only spent £3 on my Revo to increase its strength plus the support for my broken shock rod ends was awesome as i got 6 packs of the new rod ends from America in 3 days flat. Go do some more research into what your saying rather than sampling other peoples thoughts

IMO the savage is a good all round truck which is good value for money and has plenty of spares (which all rc models require at some time) availiable. If your looking for an out the box racer then i would have to say go for the revo as the savage and most the other big block monsters weren't designed for the track(even though the savage can make a good racer but requires money and time to make it competative). The savage seems to be a better basher due to it's good quality plastics and vertical plate design, the only problems i've had are drive train problems when adding bigger engines. If you keep them stock there bullet proof.

Cheers.

Yes one of the reasons for it's wide range of hop-ups is the fact that has been out on the market for a long time, are you trying to say that this is not a good thing?

Sorry to hear that you had some troubles with your Savvy, remember though that there will always be exceptions, I've had my Savvy for a year now and all I've broke is an antenna and two spur gears (my fault). I do not own a revo so I can not speak from expereince but I know people that do and they have been less than satisfied with the durabilty of it. If you check out the Traxxas Revo message boards you will get a idea of the multitude of problems people are encountering.

I'd very much look forward to following your adive and conducting some further research, could you provide me with a link that gives a detailed breakdown of the cars? I'm sure other members would like that as well.

Thanks.

I had no choice other than than revo as I don't have any other MT.

The durability of all of them depends on who's hands the controller is in, Mine defiantly takes a beating and keeps on running, I also have two friends with the truck. One is all stock except the ali shock rod ends (a must) he never seems to have a problem with his, and the other friend has killed three engines and it is now most comprised of blue ali parts.

T maxx is the oldest 1999, savage 2002. alot more aftermarket parts for the t maxx. overall performance would be the revo B)

Half the people voting are only voting because they either own the MOnster truck or they have seen it in action.

WHo has actually driven all of the MOnsters in the poll? WHo has actually seen them all in action, bashing and racing?

I have seen them all in action on the racetrack and have raced the LST for the vast majority of the time, the MOnster GT, the Lighting Stadium Pro and the REVO I have done a couple of laps with around the track. Out of these the LST was the most fun, the biggest and handle better around the track-the REVO was too bouncy-that could be easily ratified however.

ANyways-the LST gets my vote.

i have driven and watched LST's, savages, revos, tmaxx's in a bashing scenario, but not racing.

the savage and revo are still very good trucks (the tmaxx is NOT). but my vote is for the LST. im not voting because i own an LST, i own an LST for the same reason that im voting - most fun, big, handles best, speed, etc blah blah. although i have to give the others credit where due, savage is very good mainly because its so durable and the revo is certainly a great truck and im sure with the same driver may beat an LST.

LST.

Why so many votes for Savage? They are only basic in my opinion, unless you go for the 46. I really don't think there that good.

Just because everyone owns one. :P

I don't have any nitros but from watching and using the T-Maxx/LST/Savage/Revo the LST is by far the best in my opinion.
