Skyesgaming Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 One time I had ordered something off Amazon. For one reason or another I didn't need it anymore, so I filed a return & refund with Amazon. The very first thing that they expect you to do is ship it back, and as soon as they get it in their returns warehouse, they start the refund process. I understand that it may be frustrating, but once it does finally arrive to you, you'll have to ship it back, and only then will modelsport start your refund process. 2 Quote
markymarky Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 (edited) Refunds take 3-5 working days as a minimum, it's just the way it is, MS aren't doing anything "wrong" it just takes the time it takes, why do you feel they should make an exception for you for the couriers failure to deliver? Never had a problem with DPD, if anything they are one of the couriers I would recommend, found most of the others useless over the years but never DPD. Edited June 13, 2024 by markymarky 2 Quote
TommyC Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 It’s the principle of the matter. I have a local hobby shop I can buy things from on a Saturday. I ordered online because I’m a busy person and it’s more convenient. Having to pick it up means it takes up twice as much of my time. The courier failed to deliver because the delivery instructions they receive come from modelsport. If I log into my dpd account and change preferences it has no affect on the modelsport order. If I click the delivery reminder link on the modelsport email, not from dpd, it gives me a load of duff options. I agree DPD are usually no bother. I buy stuff from auction that turns up by the pallet load. I use my dpd account to adjust preferences on the day of delivery and it works. refunds only take ‘3-5 days’ because of procedure. I haven’t received the item in the first place. Are you all suggesting that if the parcel goes missing on the way back to modelsport that I shouldn’t get my money back? Quote

Refunds take 3-5 days to process, that's is a fact, no one can change that, it's just how it is. Maybe to save all this hassle you could have just gone and picked it up rather than throw your toys out of the pram as by the sound of it you have to go into town now anyway to buy from the local hobby shop 😁 2 Quote
TommyC Posted June 14, 2024 Posted June 14, 2024 I cancelled an order with modelsport recently because I missed some stuff and placed another the same day. I got my refund for the first order 24hrs later. But now I have to bankroll everyone else’s mistakes? £265 is not an insignificant amount of money. I will gladly take my time to go and buy from the local hobby shop from now on. Weirdly they don’t need 5-7 days to process a refund🤔 Quote

Weirdly they don’t need 5-7 days to process a refund🤔 If you cancel or get a refund within a certain time frame then yes you will get "refunded" sooner, that is purely because the money hasn't actually cleared from you bank account, it is merely pending, in effect they are just cancelling the transaction. Once the money has left and cleared your bank account it takes longer, the 3-5 days. I ordered from Amazon once but cancelled within 24 hours, when I checked my online banking it showed the payment as pending but cause I cancelled so quickly the money never actually left my account. For example taking back say a pair of Jeans to a clothes shop? Maybe Im mistaken 1 Quote

SimplyChunk Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 Not today but the other day. Two Voltz 5000mAh Hard cases with XT-60 connectors for the 'other' thing I bought from a user here last week. One of the batteries was DOA (no voltage reading on my SkyRC T100) So modelsport are sending me a replacement. They haven't asked for the dead battery back yet. Not sure of how to dispose of it. I'll share some pics of the 'other' thing I bought once I dig it out of the car tomorrow. Needless to say it's a decent bit of kit 🙂 and I've had a blast with it so far. at least @Skyesgaming knows if I'm sneaking around or acting shady it's because I've bought another RC and can't quite tell her yet 😄 1 Quote
Popular Post MrMcG Posted June 19, 2024 Popular Post Posted June 19, 2024 (edited) Fed up with the ridiculous prices charged on mounting solutions I have been testing and looking at some far cheaper solutions After a few weeks and no problems, I can say safely the postie gave me the ability to save some space! Pleased with them so far given the weight of the Outcast 🫠 Edited June 19, 2024 by MrMcG 4 Quote
SimplyChunk Posted June 19, 2024 Posted June 19, 2024 (edited) Voltz Lipo 5000mAh Hardcase for my TT02. I bought two of these last week but one was DOA. This is the replacement that Modelsport shipped to me in double quick time via UPS Had to remover the little bit of foam in the battery tray but it fits in there lovely. Still gotta dig the TT02 out the car to show everyone. Pics of that coming soon Edited June 19, 2024 by SimplyChunk 1 Quote
Popular Post SimplyChunk Posted June 19, 2024 Popular Post Posted June 19, 2024 Received this from @toyolien just over a week ago and have naturally been 'breaking her in'. I love it. It's so much nicer than my old TT01E used to be back in the day. Plus with the hop-ups that it's had installed it drives like a dream (for a Tamiya hehe) Put together beautifully and the shell is really nicely painted 4 Quote

It obviously gets overlooked because it has hard tyres, but its a great option. It was a bargain too (both of them were). Edited June 19, 2024 by Kpowell911 4 Quote

Popular Post MrCake Posted June 20, 2024 Popular Post Posted June 20, 2024 Some DR8 wheels in blue. For some reason the blue ones haven't been in stock for what must be at least 6 months if not longer!? I was starting to think I would have to buy the red pair (always in stock) when stock finally started to appear. 4 Quote
