Something I've always wondered cause i know i dribbled over it for a while back in the day.  The Hyper 'Cage'?  Was that as tough as the other HoBao stuff?

The Cage and SS I think it was called was terrible, not as good as the Hyper 7/7/VSE

What DIDN’T the postie bring me today? My order from modelsport. This is the 3rd time I have had issues with modelsport  deliveries through both DPD and UPS. DPD have now left it a collection point that is in the middle of town, rather than the one just around the corner from me, and closes at 5pm. This is in spite of the fact I had my preferences set to deliver to a neighbour and NOT to take to a collection point.

I asked modelsport to cancel my order and refund me. Now have to wait for 5-7 days to get my £250+ back so I can buy elsewhere.

thanks for nothing modelsport! They may be cheaper than most but I won’t be buying another thing from them again.

Devil's advocate here.

If Modelsport have shipped your order when stated then what happens after that is out of their control. It is DPD you should be taking your gripe too not Modelsport.

By your own admission you say DPD, they are separate to Modelsport.

This is the trouble for retailers they are at the mercy of delivery companies, I have an eBay shop and I have had to change how I ship items a few times now to ensure I stay protected whilst allowing for the irregularities of the delivery companies.

That may be. But modelsport continue to ship out goods with unreliable couriers. Last time I had to do a 1.5hr round trip and spend £10 on diesel to go collect my parcel. Never have a problem with Royal Mail.

the least they could do is give me money back straight away so I can buy at my LHS this weekend. But now it could possibly be week after next before I get my hard earned money back and can finish my build.

I’m fed up with companies telling me ‘there’s nothing we can do’ about speeding up refunds and waiting on the bank to issue a card refund. I run my own company. There are ways and means of moving money around instantly. What they mean is ‘there’s nothing we can be bothered to do’

See it's the other way around here.  Never had a problem with DPD deliveries.  Had an issue on a pickup once but that's it.  It's Royal Joke that's the issue around here.  It's gone to dog****e since it was sold

Same here. Never had an issue with Modelsport. They're a very well run company with great customer service.

Not had any problems with DPD either. I'd say they're one of the most reliable couriers.

It's a shame you've had a bad experience but these things happen.

Not sticking up for Modelsport here, but your issue is DPD's fault. I find DPD the best and most reliable courier service, although I believer its regional.

Perhaps I should have been clearer. I have no problem with DPD deliveries from elsewhere. I log into my DPD account and change things when required. But when I get a modelsport order I get a link where I can change things but not everything. It does not correspond to the changes I make on my account. It also only gives me alternate addresses in a street I lived in 10 years ago. Funnily enough when I would have placed my first order with modelsport when I had my baja 5b. The issue is something to do with modelsport.

A card payment is just a bank transaction. I just want my money back. That doesn’t have to be a reversed visa transaction. They could get that money to me any which way they choose and reconcile it on their accounts. But that would mean someone actually doing some work rather than it just going through the automated visa system.

Have you stopped for a second to consider the fact that they may want their model back first before refunding you?

Cancelling an order after it's been shipped is a pretty shameful act to begin with. Have some patience man. This is such a first world problem

Want it back? I never got it in the first place. They’ll have it back tomorrow. So why 5-7 days for refund? Just bull**** ‘company procedure’. I’m perfectly within my rights to cancel an order. Especially one that’s been sent to the wrong place against my specific request. Not sure how you consider that shameful? As I’ve said, this is the third time I’ve been messed about with a modelsport order.
