Steering gone nuts on Hyper7

Recommended Posts

Checking everything over for the York bash tomorrow and found that something has gone wrong with my steering.

Nothing wrong with it physically just electrically!

It is a basic 27mhz AM receiver (just a couple of weeks old) with Hitec 645mg servo.

When the car is switched on the throttle / brake works ok.

The steering won't centralise without moving the steering trim fully one way. When I steer it is very slow in one direction but fast in the other. It also has problems centralising again (going past centre then returning to centre). If I turn the steering by hand whilst the electrics are on it turns easy one way but is very hard to turn the other way. Once the electrics are off the steering / servo move freely.

Everything has been fine with it before. I have run it a couple of times with the new receiver without any issue! Tried different cells still no joy. The Receiver is in a balloon to protect it from damp (and there hasn't been damp in there anyway!).

Any ideas?

Chris

Forget it. Found the problem. It's a faulty servo. Less than 2 months old!!!

Not good. A £33 servo going stuffed that quickly. Does nothing last anymore?????????
