Hyper 7 in Spain back too my Roots

Red MG

Recommended Posts

Well hello everyone, it might well say Red Mg as the user name but its DirtyElectro here and I'm finally back into RC πŸ™‚ and what better way to do it than an oldskool Hyper 7 πŸ™‚? It was my first 1/8th back in the day so why not πŸ‘πŸ» I'm doing a restoration/fun buggy so dont expect mad bashing etc, just happy too be back into the hobbyπŸ™‚. No brushless conversions here.

I've seen woodscrews in many a Hyper but the only thing holding on the back plate was 3 of the above and a good dose of silicon 🀣. Too be fair the guy who sold it recognised the motor issue and gave me a .21Β  8port bottom end as a replacement so cant be all bad, and its got ceramic bearings ...............πŸ€”

Rest of buggy fine 🀣 I love these missions, where's my special cola??

Bought 20 of them, nice and smooth bearings so thats the diffs, outdrives and wheel bearings sorted πŸ‘πŸ» I dont need rubber sealed as it will never go out in the rain etc. Will keep the rubber sealed as spares πŸ™‚

All the years of sand/***** and general garbage removed from inside rear diff housing, this things gonna be half a kilo lighter without all of the baked on sand/grease combo 🀣
