What stick controllers are you using?

Hi folks, I’m just getting into GT12 indoor club racing and I want to get it right first time when buying a stick controller for it. Let me know what your go-to controller is!

I have the FlySky Noble NB+ for my touring car and I really like it. But I’m looking to see if sticks are for me.

Only you can answer this question really as its personal preference. My aim would be see if you can try someones Stick radio at your local

club?

It’s a good idea. I’ve been a little reluctant to pester people, but it’s worth a try. Plus there are some really nice people there.

Yeah, deffo try before you buy.

both me and the lad used to use Acoms Techniplus 4 channel sticks for our trucks, being multi channel helped with the lights, sounds etc. and back in the day i used to race with a set of Acoms Techniplus  27mhz radio, it was the one with the chrome front. Then got seduced by a wheel transmitter when the first Traxxas Slash was released, since then it’s always been like that since. Even our trucks run on a wheel transmitter now too.

It’s all down to which you feel more comfortable with in hand, gripping a transmitter constantly for 5 min heats, is as important too.

Honest answer, theres naff-all choice.

Lower end theres billy basic sets with zero adjustments (bar servo rversing and trim) by Absima  and Planet RC for around £35-50, Mid range thers the Fuaba T3GRS for round £270, still basic but will get you racing and dialled in well, Sanwa the Gemini Sport fr £140 at a similar level.

The top end theres the Sanwa Exzes Z3 (about 700) an the futaba 7xc for around £670. Both pro-level radios.

Theres no bad radios but the Sanwa ones are the newest, they have pricey receivers though. But if you get along with wheel fine, tr nd stick with that, there will always be a large choice of wheel rados, stick radios are dying off. Only EU and Japan have been stick markets and both are more wheel than sticks these days.

(Just dump the Noble and get a better wheel radio with faster latency  if you fancied a change)
