Run this beast a few times now all i can say, what a total beast of a small basher, super tough (does not eat its diff`s) only run it 2S so far but i think if i put a 3S lipo in it would be just way to fast though it can take 3S from stock, i absolutely love this 1/14th rig goes well and looks great dont even have to pay extra for the lights, any one else got this model, if there is a slight negative its the stock radio, its rather laggy but might put a HOTRC DS-4 radio in it

the mjx range is an underestimated giant killer, if you get the "G" gear set its steel not sintered "metal" that you get stock (i think it's the same diffs for the 16 range as the 14) to make use of 3s but that's a little too much for gravity to handle

Decided this mighty little truck is worth investing a little cash so ordered the upgrade metal gear servo plus Alloy shock towers and alloy steering links, i could of got alloy front and back arms but, stock plastic are plenty strong enough and we all know plastic flex`s a little, will post up when parts arrive and fitted, see its not just traxxas that can be uprated

Please tell me if thats still the same in 10-15 years time????

all Traxxas aside, im quite fancying a MJX of sorts, perfect size for what i want, durable and 2s power is also is more than enough.

next thing, finding a reputable seller??

first guess would be Amazon?

Gaz, wont be able to answer the 10-15 year bit as i doubt i will be about then ha ha

what model are you liking?

I find best seller is banggood but cheapest may be Aliexpress but watch on ali as heard some scams going on with a seller on there if its super cheap its likely to be a scam, poor boys rc just did a video on this

The trucks are very good, i have 2 of them and nowt has failed or broken on them yet, plenty quick on 2S

Hmm,

seen loads of threads here about Bang good and Aliexpress, i was hoping to avoid these in fairness…

as for model, not a clue as of yet, on the front we have a relatively new roadway (its a cul-de-sac so never mega busy) or my lawn on the back, would be advantageous to be able to be used at the park or campsite etc.

i need to sit down and go through all the models available and to what degree each offers suitability wise, i was originally planning on a Arrma from but something keeps stopping me from hitting the buy now button, i had a really sour taste of Arrma in the past, lost loads of money and it broke in the first 5 yards of use.

Been looking at these MJX bad boys for summer ripping in the garden, I don't mind ordering off AliExpress etc but having a more local source of spares would help that's if anything breaks seeing how they seem to be micro tanks 😃

BTW Mr Frosty I got some stickers with my purchase off tuneithoonit while ago, Nice stickers and the colour looks well on them 👍

Well, the Alloy parts and MG servo are a bit of a fail, the shock towers are a poor fit to a point i wont use them, but i fitted the MG servo, its a better servo than stock but i now have issues with the steering jamming on full lock, spent ages trying different combinations of servo saver, and shimming the servo on the mounting points, i briefly reverted back to stock servo but still jammed on full lock, maybe it always did this and i failed to notice. Also i keeo hearing the cast alloy parts are not strong the stock plastic is better as it flexs rather than crack
