Grumps
Hello folks, I've been given this 1/10 buggy/truggy chassis. does anyone have the faintest idea what it might be please? I've had a good look and cannot find any information on the chassis so am hoping one of you recognises the make and model from the photo. I'd like to get it running to give to my grandson to learn the ropes under the supervision of his dad and I. It's something to keep me busy while I negotiate with the management to allow me to buy a 1/7 or 1/8 buggy. I was looking large scale but for now the 1/8 kits are probably going to fit into my budget better than the large scale buggies. Cheers 😁
Grumps
So not being able to get any information I've muddled on with a truck body that took a little modification to fit over the wing mounts. Even with the wing in place we should be able to change batteries with the body on the chassis, it lifts just far enough. I'm looking forward to getting it on the field with my grandson. Once it's done it'll be handed over to his dad for him and the lad to run. I'm going to get a 2S battery for it so Henry can run it and his dad could get a 3S to run it on. I'm waiting on a wing, some clips and a set of XT 60 connectors Total cost so far is less than 30 quid. I suspect a 3S battery will cost more than the truck has so far. I'm starting to get into it again, it might start to get very expensive when the 1/8 or largescale kit arrives.

Grumps
So, after a lot of looking and head scratching I've finally found out what it is, No longer made but good enough to run on the footy field with my grandson to see if he takes to RC. https://sloughrc.com/tamco-raider-4wd-brushless-truggy.html

Not yet, I've got to get a battery charged so it's probably tomorrow before I give it a run. I've fitted the really poor quality wing that I got of eBay this evening. As long as it runs and turns it'll be perfect on the field near the house. Hopefully it'll keep us both entertained until I can afford a 1/8 or larger scale set up.
