Going to get weight when finished , but new arms and chassis bits are lighter than when I first built it with alloy arms and chassis.

And it is wider with loads more power , so we will see.

I will be  using it sparingly , and cleaning it after use like I do with all my cars , best way to spot faults before they become problems.

Rovan carbon chassis and my own cut 4mm carbon rear chassis , rest of carbon is Bone Head.

Busy building a carbon tube roll cage now , 10mm tube ,8mm alloy bar joint stiffeners and turned mount points .

Mount points for roof and wing will be 3mm carbon and roof 2mm carbon.

Did some work on the carbon roll cage : formed the main rails with 8mm alloy bar sections bonded in at joints.

Made up the roof and wing mounts and all the alloy bits.

Rear section will be removable on alloy pins for access , made up front angled mounts on the mill , glued cage joiners in with epoxy and drilled and tapped through the lot for hold down bolts. next up is slotting the frames on the mill for mounting brackets for roof, wing and windows. Mocked it up on the car to get an idea of angles and slot locations.

Got the remote shocks and brakes piped up , filled and bled today.

Waiting for some parts to turn up now , working on carbon wing , rear window set and wheely bar while I wait.

Still loads to do to finish.

Made some more progress on the buggy.

Cut out and slotted the rear windows and fitted the cut down back window.

Having failed to find a moulded carbon wing , I made one from sections and sheet , clear coated and waiting till clear is hard to cut it back and polish.

Just the wheely bar to do now , mountings are cut from 10mm alloy plate, machined up on the mill, sides are going to be 4mm carbon , and I have a couple of light wheels to go on the business end.

Rear windows have now been trimmed to sit nicer and slots have been milled in for cooling.

Just the wheely bar to make and fit now .

Had her running and set up , the brakes required another bleed but good now .

Carb is a bit of a pain as no choke , had to remove filter and choke with my hand . Think I might invest in one of Taylor's big bore carbs with a choke.

Ran it on concrete and put a tank full through it , then spent half a day cleaning it again.

Going to have to be nice and dry/warm before I take it into the grass.

Thanks.

Working on the wheely bar brackets and plates now .

Going for a short damped bar in carbon and alloy.

Made up and fitted the mounts to make a template for the mounting side plates in 4mm carbon.

Hi , Thanks.

To be honest I would rather not think about it , though I did make quite a few of the parts myself, so that saved some money.

I will use it , but in nice dry conditions on nice soft grass.

My baja Q shorty gets the most abuse , goes realy well with a rovan 36 in it with one ring only.

Completed. Well , as much as a project ever is finished.

Got my wheely bar made and fitted. Adjustable for height with the 2 turnbuckles.

A bit overkill with bearings everywhere.
