Thoughts and prayers 🙏 for my Dumbo transmitter

After servo shenanigans on my kagama tried my transmitter on another RC and its doing the same intermittent fault. Steer left and it accelerates, sometimes works then throws a wobbler 🫣. Seeing how it's been freezing around here and all my RC kit lives in the garage I am thinking the cold has done something to it 😅. I know I should know better but I have left all my stuff in there through freezes before and every thing still works. Things even survived getting wet a few times and still lived!. I am not respectful to my kit 😂

So got it defrosting in my room with the heating on see if that helps 🤞

Anyone else had this type of problem before? I might try warranty it if doesn't work soon

🙃

It's a Dumbo dff-350 btw

That's it you rest up and have a snack going need your strength up, I'll not treat you like the others if you get better I promise them traxxas transmitters are scum and deserve to live in the garage 🤣20250112_124812.thumb.jpg.d41874361dabe6e3612c454cf287a637.jpg

Going from cold to warm is the killer for condensation.

But generally, I have never kept my RC stuff in the house, and never had an issue.

If I bring stuff in, though, I always let it warm up for a bit before I power on.

Well I let it dry out in the house this week did a test around the garden this afternoon and it worked ok for a bit then started playing up again when it all warmed up 🙄. Had big ol' coffee and stuck into fault finding.

Seems when I turn and the acceleration sticks on and ramps up if I tap the transmitter it stops so thinks loose connection. From my old days of repairing electrical testing kits it sometimes fixed it by taking it all apart then putting back it together again praying for an easy fix, nope the fault pops right away no intermittent fault now 😅.

Then I noticed my gyro was reversed which I know it was working when I set it up and remembered the Mojave was also acting weird last I was out. So long story short rebound the transmitter and receiver and seems ok now 🤞 cannot get it play up now after 15mins on the bench swinging the wheels left and right 👍
