HBX 168890 upgrade tyres / stiffer springs / servo / swaybars?

Hi all, I’m newly back to having an rc car. I used to race Losi 1/10th buggies in the late 90’s / early 00’s. Have also had an HPI Rush nitro 1/10th stadium truck at some point in the 00’s just for fun (hilarious to launch 15 feet in the air off a small bmx ramp).

Now dipping my toe back in the water with the HBX 168890a Pro just for fun.

Had a couple of little goes with it - took it to a tarmac bike pump track today for a proper play and it seems mental power compared to the grip and handling.

I’ve a few areas where it could be improved:

Springs (especially the rear) are too soft. They sag under its own weight at the back and don’t fully rebound.

The servo / steering doesn’t seem to return back to the centre properly - it also stays marginally turned the way you last turned.

The tyres are really bad at gripping on wet / cold tarmac

On grass the truck seems to lurch under cornering and to want to roll over.

So I have some things I’d like to tweak:

Better tyres for grip on tarmac and fine gravel - I’m thinking the micro dotted proline tyre things. What could I get to go on the standard wheels like this - or what replacement wheels could I fit that kind of tyre to? My truck has the upgraded metal parts so it has nuts holding the wheels on rather than the screws of the lower model.

Stiffer springs required - with a quick measure I’m thinking they’re about 15mm diameter and 35-40mm long. I’m slightly struggling to track down replacement springs that are stiffer. Any ideas?

Swaybars - looks like bigger FTX / HBX models have these as an optional upgrade but not seen them for my truck (which is the same as the Tracer MT and I think the Blackzon Slyder MT). Anything that fits?

I wonder if I need a stronger / better servo - I think it’s Micro size. What would fit in and has the same plug? I can’t see any other reason why the steering wouldn’t self centre unless there’s an issue with the servo saver.

Thanks!

I have a couple of the MJX hyper go, but basically the same I believe, I did a servo upgrade on them and changed the oil in the dampers

Tyres for sure are a weak point in the sense that they sadly just lack grip.....

they work but not great

I'm curious about getting some new rim/rubber to help get it more planted

other have said its a wheelie monster, but I find the lack of grip a major issue why I don't ""wheelie"
