HTRC chargers

Recommended Posts

I have c240 duo 1 of these and i seen a post somewhere tail end of last year talking about amazon doing a recall on them as they can catch fire (but not in the uk) so have been wary of them but have just seen another post today where the touchscreen version has caught fire and its making me wonder if i should just bin it and replace with something else, i realise the charger to replace is a lot cheaper than having a fire. I have had mine for a couple of years now and i cannot fault it but still there is that fear there, anyone else using the same brand, anyone have some input on this?

It shouldn't cause much danger really seen as a charger and batteries should never be left unattended when charging.

If it was me, I'd have it stood on something metal ie nonflammable and easy to throw outside if it did catch fire.

If its a known problem with the charger and you got the spare cash get rid of it and buy a new one, the worry of something happening isn't worth the ball ache. Treat yo self to a new sexy charger 😄 ohhh one with wireless charging and usb ports that you'll never use like I did 🤣

I was looking at a gens ace imars d300 as a replacement, for £70 from aliexpress it seems like a good option but i am in no hurry as i have another charger that i can use too

If you're worried about the charger could you put it in an ammo can while using it, just in case?

I know the best thing to do is replace it, but you've not had a problem in 2 years, and the problem with the charger seems to be with ones purchased not in this country.

As an aside when I'm changing lipos I never leave them unattended
