The planetary gear on the left looks like it’s hitting both sun gears. It should only be making contact with the top one. Is that bottom sun gear pushed home properly?

Evidently not. Ill try pull them home properly. I understand how they work now so Ill give it shot

I assume those gpm diffs are still planetary? Just the bits you’ve bought with a metal housing? As apposed to the bevel gear Traxxas ones.

Im sure I read “slash style” somewhere? So hoping they were bevel. If theyre not bevel Ill research the XL5/VXL diff properly. It just confuses me a bit with gear/centre shaft/slipper/centre diff compatibility

In a way i feel this is overkill however this may prove to be a model you use a lot so maybe worth modding and blinging it up

Its pointless and wont be used a lot. But Im enjoying it ha

The shocks look decent enough mate, hows this truck holding up now after the diff issues, its a shame Traxxas did not do a better job on the diff`s from the get go

Ive been too busy with life to use it since I broke the diff =/ May get it out this week as I drive passed a skate park on the way to the job Im on and it should be quiet in the morning

My lads arrived on Thursday, just a quick blast outside and its got more than enough go on 2s for him, road was damp so plenty of power slides, and in hand it does feel very substantial.

ill update with more when its had a proper run but as of yet, first impressions are looking good. :good:
