What should I do with my hyper 7

Recently I've bought a hyper 7 as it was a good deal, I've had it for a month, had to change the glowplug as it had failed. When I took it out I saw metal bits on the piston, and realised that I had Stripped the head where the glowplug was(first time i've Stripped the thead) so I got a deal for a used one(used for 7 runs) and thread was good. Glowplug failed and I tried to change the glowplug and it just Stripped, I'm not sure what to do as I don't want to buy another head for it just for it to break. I'm not sure if it's bad quality, bad luck or user error, apart from that it's a great buggy, should get a helicoil(if so are there any cheap ones because the only one i saw costs $130), or does anyone know someone who can repair the thread?

Bin the engine and convert to electric

lol, i was going to put it up on ebay for £20 but i might get another engine because this is the only engine that has stripped(I've got an old Cen and even that is hard to strip the thread) and its annoying me soo much. if i cant find a helicoil for around £20 then I'll do another electric conversion, because the engine was very easy to start because of the roto start and was very easy to tune, but i feel like the head is made out of cheap metal, I've got an 8s motor but it barely works, the thing is i don't want to convert to electric because ive already got an asuga, just one last question, is this a common issue with older hobao engines? if so are the newer ones worth it?

What are you using the tighten the glow plug? There are Hyper heads for standard or turbo glow plugs, the threads are different.

i use the multi tool that most nitros come with i use it on most engines and threads never strip except from this engine, its a standard head and n4 glowplug, same one that came with it

Bad thread on the glow plug maybe

Maybe, but it fit my cen engine perfectly i even tested it on my friends old xtm motor, do the newer Hobao engines come with head buttons? because i don't want to replace the whole head, I'd rather pay £10 than £30, because someone is selling a newer 3 port Hobao engine without a carb. The reason i want a Hobao engine is because i want to use a drill to start it.

Newer Hyper engines usually come with head button using the turbo glow plug, so standard glow plug wont fit. Contact the shop if youve bought the stripped head button from new. I've had new and used Hyper engines over many years and not had an issue. It would suggest incompatibility between the glow plug thread and the head button thread or cross threading.

Ok, so I'll probably buy a newer used hyper engine, is there a difference with turbo engines over a standard engine? maybe a different power curve or power? Are turbo plugs more expensive? I'm looking at a used 3 port Hyper Engine.

Is the piston and sleeve badly scored? Buying a used engine can be a lottery. Turbo plugs and head button (usually stamped with T) are meant to improve cumbustion efficiency, will you actually notice, doubt it. Glow plug cost, turbo plug is more expensive. The rotostart you have is not compatible with cops starter system with the engine  using green handle. Finding a new standard head button 21037 is getting harder as most UK shops will only stock turbo version. Aliexpress has some standard buttons. You can use the turbo head button on your 21 engine with turbo plug.
