wombat
Would have thought it would be at least 3s

The BL-2S (brushless 2S) would seem to either be a replacement for the brushed setups or a middle step at least lower than the VXL.

Partydaz
Seems new VXL version will have 7.4v BEC 😲 so seems they trying make it worth the money 😃. Not sure it they still using plastic gear servos in it, if so that's not going last on 7.4v 🙈 Edited November 4, 2024 by Partydaz

My thoughts on this are. Specification wise. Its poor. Theres lots of plastic, and the electronics on paper arent the best. However, Its based on a Slash 4x4. The Slash 4x4 is tried and tested over a long long time, and you know what? It works. Its strong, it performs well. Spares are easily avaliable and cheap. Id argue that although the competition is far high spec (alloy chassis, Metal CVDS etc) they arent as good. You can moan all you want about Traxxas stuff, but it works, incredibly well. We are moaning here about lack of alloy chassis, plastic driveshafts etc but truth be told, theyre not necessarily improvements. We just percieve alloy or metal as superior and therefore more valuable. Thats not necessarily the case. This product will work. Brilliantly. Itlll be amazing. It just will. My issue is a silly one really. I say this as a masssive fan boy, Traxxas stuff is far far too expensive these days. I know this is a counter productive self argument. I cant pay £500+ for a plastic chassis and driveshaft'd R/C, even when Ive said a few sentences ago its actually perfect. I just sub conciously feel like Im getting taking advantage of at the pricepoint, even though as Ive just said, itll be great. Does any of that make any sense? Partydaz
Yip makes sense to me , I'll slag Traxxas off all day but I'll also praise them to the heavens 🤣 over priced plastic toys but they work really well and I own five traxxas models and love them all🥰 . Even paid full price for a UDR few years back made me feel sick spending think it was nearly £900 on a RC but it's one of my favourites. And yes you can run traxxas stuff on 7.4v I've been doing it for the last two years 😀. Edited November 4, 2024 by Partydaz
