Nicholas Jones
Hi all I recently started building a Hobao Hyper ST Pro, and I've gotten to the stage of mounting the engine. It's an LRP ZR.28 Spec 4, and it doesn't fit properly on the chassis, due to the p/s backplate colliding with the chassis and engine mounts. Can this be fixed by buying the Hyper ST RTR mounts? Is the spur gear further forward than the rtr? I've found an image of the prokit that has a pullstart engine mounted to it, am I missing something here? wolfie1
What about using longer bolts and a few washers between the engine mount and engine to space it up? Or you could get 2 strips of alloy same length as the engine mount and drill holes so it lines up with the existing holes and use that as a spacer Edited October 28, 2024 by wolfie1
locky
I used longer bolts and washers between mount and engine to raise the engine so that it is above the chassis when mounted.
Nicholas Jones
Both of you are absolutely on the money with that, I'm gonna get a set of 4 m4x6 spacers and 4 mx16 bolts and leave it at that. First start was today, absolutely chuffed with the build!
