Hi All.

quick question i am thinking of getting a 3D printer to make my own Accessoies and other bits and bobs.

I was woundering if anyone can point me in the direction of where to find and download the parts files needed for the Accessories.

Im borrowing a 3D printer from work to have a play with before i buy one of my own.

Any info would be most helpfull.

Regards

John

Cults3d, Thingiverse, GrabCAD, Printables, and MyMiniFactory are my main ones. There’s a site called Yeggi that can search multiple sites but I don’t use it very often at all.

Edit: forgot about YouMagine

Edit2: Pinshape as well

I’m thinking about it too, just need to know if a Chromebook would be suitable as its the closet we have to a pc, my niece’s fella was showing me some of the stuff he has done.

i wouldn’t do it to sell stuff but as said be more for little bits and bobs for us only, although printing some bodyshells to suit the Trx4m would be a big bonus…..

@Gaz! A Chromebook might do it, someone’s written a guide on getting PrusaSlicer to work. I’m really unfamiliar with Chromebooks though I really should know more given I fix this stuff for a living😂

Hi

Thanks for the sites to visit i have been to them and made an account with a couple.👍

I Have borrowed a printer from work its a Creality Enda 3 v2 .

Just done a first print of a colmans camping stove it looks a little ruff but not bad for first go. I think i might have had the nozzle a tiny bit to high it says to set up using standard a4 printer paper and the nozzle should scratch along the paper. Plus it was on standard quality might knock the quality up a notch next go.

The sites you suggested where realy good and found some good free items to down load so i have a list of parts to make now lol:good:

Thanks again

Please advoid Creality printers, Bambu is years ahead of them, either the A1 or A1 mini would serve you better.

Creality aren’t bad, they just require some tuning. My mate has two and they do very well and he’s not modded them, just spent some time tinkering with the speeds and slicer. One is a K1 max and Iltye other is some kind of Ender, he rates them but knows they need tweaking to get the best from them.

Bambu is definitely better if you don’t want the tuning to do, I know a guy with the A1(maybe) and he just raves about it and was glad he didn’t have much if any tuning to do. He is probably going to order another soon I think.

  • 3 weeks later...

I just bought a printer after wanting one for years. After reading how the cheaper ones can require a bit of tinkering to set up, I opted for a Bambu p1s. I was all keen to spend a day learn how to use it. But there’s nothing to learn. I plugged it in and started printing things from the supplied sd card within 20 mins. I’ve done a dozen or so prints now and they’ve all come out perfect. Printing off the Bambu handy app is absolutely fool proof. Using downloaded files through Bambu studios isn’t much more difficult. Just need to work out how to use the software.

I’ve already printed 2 esc trays for my groms. £10 each in the shops. This printer will pay for itself in no time!

I’ve not found much in the way of stock rc parts, at least not anything substantial. I will have a go at some suspension arms for the grom at some point.
