steephill Posted August 12, 2024 Posted August 12, 2024 For a brushed setup a 1080 is a great choice. I've used one in a scx10 that I use as a trail truck so it's got wet, muddy and been reliable. 1 Quote
ForeverRaynning Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 (edited) Right, new rx arrived a day early aaaaand we still have the same steering issue. 🥲 So it may well be the servo. But that doesn’t explain why it works with the old reciever and transmitter without any issues. Would changing the BEC voltage on the ESC from 6 to 7.4 do anything to help? Or would that risk frying something else? At a bit of a loss here. (EDIT - tried increasing BEC, no change) Edited August 13, 2024 by ForeverRaynning Quote
ForeverRaynning Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 Right, more playing around with it and managed to get the steering pretty equal on both sides by changing the sub trim by 31. But I’m not sure if we’ve just made the right move less to compensate for the left, but my dad seems to think its fine so will just see how it goes on? So we may have ‘fixed’ it. So the other reciever may have been fine as well 😅 Quote
Lone-wolf Posted August 13, 2024 Posted August 13, 2024 Excellent glad you like the 1080, they really do help a scale rig drive so much better Quote
wombat Posted August 13, 2024 Author Posted August 13, 2024 Hi again, when I bought my sca1e coyote about 3 years ago I remember there was something in the manual about changing the servo and voltage output from the esc, but can't find the manual, so as you've changed the esc could be worth fitting a better servo. Forgot to mention earlier that on 2 of my crawlers I have replaced the tyre foams with hair buns to prevent problems with water. Hope this helps 🙂 1 Quote
