Hobbywing AXE R3 vs EZRUN G3

Hi,

 

Need to buy a motor and ESC soon. It's going to go into a Tekno ET48 and will run it 4 and 6s bashing.

 

The EZRUN MAX8 G3 2250kv combo seems really popular but i would prefer a lower KV and gear up if needed, rather than the other way round.

Not familiar with AXE range but the new R3 has 2 motor options 1700kv and 2000kv both 4274.

 

What make one a basing range and the other a crawler?

 

Could i just use the AXE R3 combo to bash? I see the EZERUN ESC has a higher amp rating though.

 

Can i mix the EZRUN ESC with AXE R3 motors? Will it still work sensored..?
