Popular Post MrMcG
Does anyone use Ammo boxes for storing lipo's ? Was looking at these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123903845456?itmmeta=01J1TSHWXVJY4EDX3DN3RWYCZE&hash=item1cd93ea450:g:iD4AAOSwxG9iYPXX&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAAwJ2vcc1UztiDp%2FOf1dN5Ymciaew0YKajVsgKYPPTBjvS00taAppM%2Bxu4V1n%2B5ILSUZYdOcfHKfigCWutjAAn%2Bsyqfj0q25M3BydRbIgYwO%2BzaEFFPZK11Dq%2FFg4%2BdUDtAp4J0Uz68M1vu1wCH64H0g4HqcTTgUD0XRBlB5qVubm0uqvVsbPOPI%2F9G5KoWwRK61d8d5JK62kl%2Blit1T8vQfWe8I84ngs%2FNAe8k1PliBN5oLK9QTOdRtFCvC3jzRTieg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR4DPx9mOZA As a storage solution as they seem a popular choice or open to suggestions, I have a bat-safe but its way overloaded for what its rated for. I do realise the most dangerous point for a lipo is charging/discharging and not general storage however its better than just having them left out currently 😄
Stormbringer
Yep me and my son use those but just remember to take the seal out as otherwise they could become a bomb if a lipo does go off
Lone-wolf
They are very strong Lipo stores, and its really easy to pull rubber seal and cut a couple of inches of the seal
Partydaz
What a cracking idea I've been thinking of getting an old safe to stick the lipos in but this is much easier. Think I'll get two, one for storage and one for fully charged lipos as at present the fully charged ones live on the BBQ under the lid over night guessing it'll help with a fire being a BBQ fire resistant and all 😅

Guess i got a job to do on my days off this week 👍 Also @MrMcG https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/173631178063 These are .50 cal boxes. Bigger and cheaper than what you're looking at 😉

stretch
Yep as long as it's vented by removing seals or drilling holes.
Ziggy122
would a small gromit allowing cable to pass through prevent the build up of pressure in doomsday mode?
MrMcG
Thanks all! Appreciate the responses. How many lipo's do you store in each, assume you dont do 1 per box ?
SimplyChunk
depends on how many you can buy at once if it does go pear shaped
