steephill
I think I'm going to have to build a few bridges. I quite fancy a suspension bridge. I saw this on YouTube..

steephill
@Stormbringer I've got a plan. I've been sorting wood already. It's my missus putting ideas in my head. I think I'm going to do it with chain and logs / branches cut to size. I've done them 12 to 14 inches. Might use rope.
Andy-Roo
It’s gonna be like an RC adventure park 👍😎 1
Popular Post steephill
Made a start on a bridge. I've used galvanised steel chain and some thinner logs attached with short self tappers and washers.

Popular Post steephill
@StormbringerThanks mate 👍. Might get a bit slippy as the wood degrades. Just makes it more of a challenge.

Andy-Roo
Wow, you don’t hang about mate, that looks fantastic! You’re on a roll, what have you got planned next?
steephill
@Andy-Roo Thanks mate 👍. Another bridge, so there's a route up and down to the shed roof. I've got a good few more lines planned around the garden.
Popular Post steephill
Been at it again. I've started on a ramp from the lower part of the garden up to the upper part. The ramp is 8ft long made from slate baton and branches cut to size. The only other route is down the steps, fine going down but can be a bit harsh on the drivetrain going up. So I'm making another route for the trail trucks and mini crawlers. The stones at the bottom will need cementing in and a bit more wood work.

steephill
@Stormbringer Thanks mate 👍. I'll no doubt get more done tomorrow. It went dark and the badgers came in so I've not tested it yet. Can't wait to get a go.
Andy-Roo
Loving the way the ramp blends into the stone steps, looking really natural like it belongs there. Bloody good work mate 👍

steephill
You'll probably think I'm nuts now. After building the suspension bridges and the ramp I thought it's like mtb north shore but for rc crawlers. So I'm now building more around the lower part of the garden. I made a start yesterday. I'm going to build a ramp up to a platform to a suspension bridge made from chain, branches and some timber between the big shed and bike shed. I measured it yesterday and it's 10.5 metres long. I'll get some pictures up when I get chance.

Popular Post steephill
Not finished yet. I've run out of timber. I've sat one of the lcg rigs on the bridge. Quite a big drop from the heighest point it's about 8ft and this bridge is 6 metres long. I thought about putting some sort of edge guard on but it's no fun when it's too safe. I've tested the north shore section up to the bridge with a Trx4 lcg and it works.
