garden / backyard crawler course

Recommended Posts

Did a few more bits to the crawler course yesterday.

It's hard to see from the pictures how steep some sections are.

I'll get some more videos up.

I've added a few really nasty side hills and climbs from a big chunk of rock sticking out of the hillside.

Should be fun tyre testing when it's dry.

Thats really steep and it actually made it up there :good:

It's a tricky line, needs a bit more work to get a few more lines, but I like it. I should of got a video of the Trx4m kangaroo struggling on it.

Good fun though.

That looks really steep, the front wheels were struggling to say down at times. Stiffer foams/inserts in the rear, or raise the rear end a little, or more weight over the front? All of the above? So many options for tuning the setup and seeing the effects of those changes. I’m well jell 😂

Yeah mate it's steep. I wanted something challenging for the lcg rigs.

That's running pin tyres and stock foams. So inserts in next. They should be a huge improvement on the steep climbs.

I love it how you have to fight to find grip and keep the front end down.

That's running semi droop shocks. I could try slightly stiffer droop springs or full droop. I much prefer the semi droop setup.

It dealt with that without even breaking its stride. I really like the 10 Pro, it’s a great rig to drive and so capable.

Here's the 10 pro with Injora S5 xhx pins and green inserts.

These tyres are very grippy the inserts are working amazing, the added weight gives a lot of stability. I really like them so far.

Done some more over the last few days.

I've got a tunnel for the mini crawlers and bridge section.

I've had to cement that in and leave it to dry before I can build on top of it.

Wow, top work there, you’re really taking that too the next level. Literally! Your course is starting to make Exocaged Joe’s course look small 💪

Thanks @Stormbringer @Andy-Roo

The badgers stayed off my wet cement last night. It would of been quite disastrous if they'd have tried crossing my bridge, they no doubt beel on it at some point. I managed to carefully get some more in today. Having to wait for it dry again before I can get anymore on top for now.

I managed to get a go with one of the mini crawlers on some bits.

That’s incredible mate, my old back is aching just looking at the graft you’ve put into that. Bloody good work 💪
