Looking good pal 👍

can I ask what shocks and what length please? :good:

They are Injora 1/18th 45mm shocks, worked out well i mounted the top mount to the highest point on shock tower, they are not perfect but do work 1000x better than stock

Thanks @steephill

Thanks for the heads up on the new V2 axle, and its ability to flip the diff - the torque twist really bugs me.

I ordered the axle, some heavy brass Injora wheels, the yellow Silicone inserts, and a set of the V2 high-clearance links.

I am in the middle of fitting the axle at the moment, and I have run into the inevitable hitch, and I am looking for hive-mind advice, please!

In my attached picture the high clearance links are sitting completely at rest, as is the axle.

The elongated brass ball-end in the high clearance link naturally sits against the tab on the new axle beautifully - but the additional new 2nd tab (marked with the orange star) the V2 axle now has, is very in the way.

It seems the only option is to remove these additional tabs - which seems a real shame, as I would love the bolt supported by the new 2nd tab.

How did you do it @steephill ?

I could shorten the elongated brass ball end in the link on the lathe by 2mm, to make it fit the gap between the tabs perfectly - but this would hugely stress the other end of the link that merely hinges at its mounting point, it does not have a ball end.

Over-thinking things as ever - but that's why we do this right, to get away from thinking about our day jobs!

thanks!

Thanks @Lone-wolf

I trimmed the tabs off the axle and used the removed tabs as washers/spacers to separate the shock from the new brass rod ends of the high clearance links.

Shocks and links all run straight and in line nicely.

Such a satisfying mod to be able to reverse the diff in the V2 axle and get rid of the torque twist!

Thanks
