Did it come with the upgraded metal wheel hex's or did you have those?

Everything is stock other than the battery bracket system.

DMS are showing the spares now as well as some of the upgrades, hopefully the upgrades arrive in the 2nd batch that's due early January.

I planning on buying...

- Metal steering set  LC5050
- Metal servo horn  LC5051
- CF shock towers  LC5030 + LC5029
- Harder front springs 1.1mm  LC6117
- Rear ball stud mount LC5045

Do you reckon it would take some light bashing?  Nowhere to race near me so would only get this to mess about with on smooth off-road such as short grass.

The other LC buggys are pretty tough so I can't see why this wouldn't be. I've found anything under 1/10 isn't great off road and the tires are just too small. I think if you added 1/10 buggy tires with a truggy shell it could be fun however you might as well get the 4wd version.

I'm planning on using this on astro tracks and at the odd indoor club night.

What viscosity oils did you go for in your shocks/diff?

Front 500

Rear 350

Diff 4000 however I feel this is too light so will be going upto 7000-10000

Make sure too add some pictures when yours arrives. Have they given you an ETA?

Based off of this video then I think it will happily take some light bashing...

Hi

Does he say that the rtr brass pinion is 48dp in this video?

Not had time to build mine yet, but was working on the assumption that the supplied kit pinion would be Mod 0.5, like the EMB series.

Remembering that assumption is the mother of all f—k-up’s, what size are they in the kit version, do you know?

Cheers

LC uses mod 0.5 and the stock spur is 60t and the pinion is 21t. The losi mini 8 spurs are a direct swap, I'm not 100% sure about the slipper pads if you'll need losi ones or if the LC ones will fit.

With losi mini8 stock drying up I'd be sceptical about making the change however if you already have a lot of 48dp pinions then I guess it's worth it. I know you can buy metal spur gears however as long as your mesh the stock one correctly I can't see why you'd need one. RW also make a mini 8 spur in several sizes.

Thanks for that!

Won’t be changing away from stock, hope that my 3900v motor with that 21 tooth pinion will work out well!

Cheers

Thanks for that, this will be my first kit build!  Had a look at my oils and I have 7000 and 10000 so will see how they feel.

Not asked for an ETA yet and they have only confirmed that I should get one from the 2nd batch

For the diff you'll need a tiny phillips screw driver.
