Gradients, plenty to explore and try out. Plenty of roots about, both on flat ground and gradients. Mud galore, plus certain times of year can have good water logged parts too. Plus, for me being autistic, people were really pleasant about it, so that made me feel comfortable. As I struggle with social stuff a lot and it made me worried people would keep stopping me.

Burton Bushes, which is at the other end of the Westwood is also going to be fun for mud and roots, but not hills. So quite a bit to go at for me locally.

Rat-Matt-RC
Well, if I see someone else out there, I'll try to say hi, if I'm not too nervous 🙃 In the hope it's yourself haha. Would be good to meet some people in the hobby and get some more knowledge. You'll have a blast!

Rat-Matt-RC
So I've fully fixed the front panel, the rear window guards and the mud guards on the wheel arches. Really enjoying making it my own and even got the first set of stickers on too. Nothing fancy but making it mine thats for sure haha. Rat-Matt-RC
Hi all, First off sorry if this is already discussed elsewhere. the issue has been somewhat fixed, ive found out what it was. so ibdo need lube, so which is best? wombat
Sorry if I'm missing something, but what issue is it, what do you need to lube or oil ?

After fitting new brass steering knuckles, I had stuttering while driving. After problem solving, I found that one of the axles was not spinning freely when seated in the knuckle (I may be wrong on the name) I've used some model railway fine oil, which has freed it up a LOT and so very little stuttering now. But I was hoping that there would be some proper stuff out there for the future. Unless I am completely wrong. I've added a photo of the parts. steephill
Check the bearings are fully seated and I'd pull out the shaft, clean and reassemble and make sure they spin smoothly.
wombat
As @steephill says, strip everything to find out what is binding, it should all turn freely without the need for any oil or grease
Rat-Matt-RC
Ahh I shall have another strip down tonight in that case. Cheers guys 😄
Rat-Matt-RC
Another cracking day. This time at Dore and Totley, the woods across from the station. If you can get there, I'd highly recommend it, a great walk, lots of trails and great terrain too.

Rat-Matt-RC
Good evening everyone, So I installed a few extra lights today on my Defender, however when the rear lights in the new bumper are wired in, the main light kit doesn't work. I have the Traxxas pro light kit, for head lights and rear lights which worked great. I installed the Injora light bar and injora front and rear bumpers that have lights in too and when all are linked, two in one Y harness and two in the other, my pro light kit doesn't come on, but the rear lights on the bumper become brighter than if I unplug the pro light kit. So I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. If anyone can help?
Stormbringer
it could be your overloading the lights cct ? i have an injora lightbar on mine with the pro kit and it works fine for me there are 2 ports for the lights on receiver ( pro in 1 and lightbar in other on mine). are you using both ports ?
Rat-Matt-RC
I am using both ports, each has a Y connector too. That may be it in that case, so I'll stick to less in that case, a bit of a shame.
steephill
I've put a basic analogue fpv camera on one of my trx4m's. Just a little tester, it's obviously not ideal on the cage exposed. I tested it with my googles and it wasn't too bad. The camera has a little vtx attached and is powered by a 1s lipo. I'm going to see how far I can get it round the crawler course. Being analogue the video quality won't be great but I'll try and get a video. If it goes alright I might try a lightweight digital system.
