TommyC
Can someone explain how this has a lower centre of gravity? First two pics are with the new chassis
Stormbringer
Yehh it is sitting higher with new chassis but you can move the shocks to other holes to lower it with new chassis
steephill
@TommyC like @Stormbringer said. You might want to try the firmer springs on the rear of your Defender. The weight of the body makes it sag quite a lot.

First two pics are with the new chassis Looking at that mate, look at the top shock mounts and you will see the stock mounts are much taller, so for the desired effect move the top of the shocks to holes going furthest away from where you are now, this should give a better overall stance. my lad has the same chassis with the 58mm yeah racing shocks and his needed playing with the top mounts until he was happy… @Lone-wolf, your F150 looks great!! The one pre-load spacer could be for torque twist although i cannot recall just one fitted on any of ours, if you need any, give me a shout, i have loads. Interested in the free mods you’re doing too.

I do intend to lean the shocks over but just thought I’d try it with them vertical for comparison as that’s how they are on the stock chassis. Still not sure it’s going to bring it all down as low as it was? 11 hours ago, steephill said: @TommyC like @Stormbringer said. You might want to try the firmer springs on the rear of your Defender. I’m pretty sure I’ve overfilled some of the shocks as they felt different so I’ll pull them apart again first and see what’s what. haven’t actually driven it much since I’ve modded it as been busy with other cars. Hopefully I’ll see an improvement with the new chassis.
Lone-wolf
Pleasantly surprised by the Hi trail F-150, it drives nicer than i hoped, has limitations but its not at all bad, video coming to a screen near you today some time, it drives quite different to the FCX24 but again its a nice drive

steephill
New wheels and tyres on the Bronco. Brass beadlocks, 58mm tyres. I want to see how it performs compared to steelies. I think the only stock parts are the body, battery tray and shocks. Stock shocks are pretty good.
Lone-wolf
Looks good and yes stock shocks seem to work well, looks like your missing a wheel nut
Stormbringer
The brass wheels will probably be a good bit heavier than the steelies and might help with grip and cog

steephill
Just had a go with the Bronco on the crawler course, not convinced. I'm going to try steelies with brass rings in the front. It seemed to do better with the other wheels.
