Reciever max voltage

Recommended Posts

Hi I have a kyosho nitro tracker with kyosho reciever and servos. The truck uses 4 AA batteries  4 x 1.5v  batteries = 6v but I was wondering if I could use 18650 batteries in series so the voltage would be 2x3.7= 7.4v  Does anybody know if the reciever and servos would work at 7.4v or will I have to put a 7.2v to 5v regulator  or would they work on 1 battery 3.7v ?

Thanks

Bill

Check their specs but would assume they cant take 7.4V. A regulator will work but 6V is best and the usual running voltage for servos. I run LiFe receiver packs on standard servos and rxs and they can take 6.6V.

Thank you very much I will drop it to 6v. I couldn't find a max voltage for it so I thought someone will have used 18650 batteries and give advice. Thanks again Locky
