Newbie question about controller range

I think most modern Tx/Rx combos, on an electric car, will pretty much just act like you let go of the controls when they go out of range. So depending on the brake/coast setting in your esc the car might roll for a bit or it may come to a fairly sharp stop.

If your unsure whether it will keep going or stop turn car upside down give it some throttle and switch the transmitter off

If motor stops then it will come to a stop if out of range

Cheers.  Somewhat different to the last time I had a rc car, mechanical speed controllers and analogue servos!  Good.

true brother on the old msc if they were on forward and went out of range they would keep going lol the modern esc once losing signal go back to neutral etc 👍

Haha I remember that. I had an old Thunder Tiger nitro touring car when I was a kid, and when that went of range it just kept going and going and going until it crashed! Ranges weren’t as good back then either, so it was only like 50m away 😂
