James.S.Johnson Posted July 21, 2022 Share Posted July 21, 2022 hi guys, i've been watching utube to find out which car i should get next. i have watched beyond rc, kev talbot, rc sailors but his birds a bit annoying. i watched tomley whose good seems honest and started looking at different makes like maverick, keysho and FTX but thought i should ask you good people onhere for advice. i'm not sure about utubers, so ask real people with real cars who really use them what i want is something that screams fast and powerful like a honey badger, i want it to be better than what my m8s have (1 has tamiya TT02, another has MT maverick and one guy has thunder tiger but never has parts for it lol) - what would you all recommend? m4inbrain Posted July 21, 2022 Share Posted July 21, 2022 The Hyper VS, Typhon 3s, MT10.. There's plenty of RCs that i'd buy before i go to a Maverick. At £400 the world's your oyster, really - if you're okay with shopping around including used RCs. Not just bangers out there. If one of them gets an Infraction, XO-1 etc, where do you go from there? Those go 80mph at least out of the box. edit: lol no, just a nickname. I do have way too many RCs though. 😄 I'm just a user like everyone else (mostly) here. I just had everything from £100 RCs to £1300 RCs, so i did get around a bit. m4inbrain Posted July 21, 2022 Share Posted July 21, 2022 Indeed - if it's on road only, the Infraction 3s impresses. If it's on road only and if you could stretch to it, i'd go for an Infraction 3s. Impressive little buggers, and 74mph out of the box is right up there. Probably the fastest RC in that price region if i'm not mistaken. Doesn't do offroad very well though, obviously. You will likely scratch and damage your new car at which point it's no different from any other used car, in the sense of it's used and will have some wear. There's some cracking bargains out on the for sale section on here, Facebook and eBay occasionally.
