Stooopot
Hi guys, one of the wheels on my mauler has stopped spinning. It looks like the axle gear has rounded off where the driveshaft enters it. can I buy a whole new axle or is it repairable ?
Shergar
I’d dismantle the axle and check the main gear diff, should be the only part that needs replacing. Quite likely this plastic part has chewed. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/ftx-mauler-front-and-rear-solid-axle-hub-422586 As seen here page 13: https://www.cmldistribution.co.uk/diagrams/FTX/FTX Mauler Manual.pdf
wombat
Hi.@Shergar is right, but you can get all metal diff units that are fit and forget, don'tget the uk ones for £20 plus, look on ebay for hsp 94180 diff unit for around £6.00, could take up to 3 weeks to come from china. Ftted one to the front of mine a while ago, just got another for the rear 😀
