windz1000r
So there's a club near me that race 1/10th or smaller mostly buggyd inside on carpet . I've never been in this side of the hobbie but my lad wants to try it I don't fancy takeing any of my current RC of on there and covering the nice clean carpet in dirt So what's a good 1/10th or smaller buggy for raceing
oranjedrol
A good idea is to check what most people use in the club, if it fits your budget you will find it easier to get advice on setup for the car. I personally like Team Associated cars, for a good buggy and relatively cheap spares Schumacher is a great choice.
lorrylemming
For an RTR the Associated RB10 is the best and possibly only option. Being rear motor its not perfectly suited to carpet racing but fine for a beginner. https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/associated-rb10-ready-to-run-race-buggy-blue-1337594 For proper racing you want something like these: https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/schumacher-cougar-ld2-kit-1337909 https://www.modelsport.co.uk/product/associated-rc10b64-team-kit-1344342 But, its quite an investment (~£750 for the kit, electronics, batteries, transponder, tyres etc) to get one ready to go. I'd clean up your outdoor car to give racing a try before you commit to anything.
Alex97
Go down and see what everyone is running, no doubt someone will be selling something so you might find something that takes your fancy. Personally I'd go for associated however I'm biased 😂 Starting for scratch you can easily spend upwards of £1k however buying 2nd hand can reduce that massively and once your setup the running costs aren't that bad (tires and spares). You'll also need BRCA membership (insurance) however some clubs might let you go a few times before needing that.
