cool,

hope you can still use the spurgear cover ?

otherwise this will be stripped very fast sadly.

if you have paddle tyres rear and random in front you have one bad ass sand beach buggy style car

something like this with a cage insteath of body

wheels/tires like these would look awsome i think,  and fun also drive, at sand atleast

I'm torn between StreetKeeper and SandKeeper although arguably it  an interchange between both as it's just wheels and tyres to alter the image.

Funnily enough I've been working on the spur gear cover.

I've trimmed the end off the spur cover to allow it to fit inside the cage. It's open ended so not fully protected but ag least the actual spur and pinion gears are covered which will help a little.

Just need to tidy up the cut then give it a coat of Matt black paint.

you can make plastic cover and drill a hole to make it more closed

i saw also before there is steel spurgears for these Team A drag cars.

If you use steel spurgear you dont need cover at all.

Have both drag street wheels and  paddles will be ultimate,  driving both styles with one car is awsome, just a wheel change

Cheers for the info, might just get a steel spur for extra robustness.

  • 2 weeks later...

Made a start today on the interior of the StreetKeeper.
Some 2mm black styrene is what I chose for a combination of rigidity and light weight.

I've cut and glued the floor pan and front/rear panels which gives me a basic cabin shape to play with.
Battery will be located in a tray behind the interior and the existing chassis space used for cable management between the ESC and serves etc.

Will make a start on the  dashboard tomorrow as that will need to be templated before cutting.

Got new shocks arriving later so that will be tonights task.

V looks spot on for the car :good:

He fits well, slightly over and under scaled in places but for effect he works 😀
