Has the option to edit posts gone? I want to edit a few for sale threads I started, and now only have the option to 'report' or 'share'?

Thanks.

i think i have read in the feedback page that after 3 days, you cant edit. i cant remember why though.

will have to read the thread again.

We’ve had a spate of spammers who look legit at first but then go back to their posts a few weeks later and then edit them for dodgy links, it was the only way we could think to stop them. It’s not idea, but hopefully at some point soon we can take the edit time limit away 👍

Please allow people with over a year on the forum for example to be able to edit posts. If gold members can be given the ability to can it not also be issued based on tenure?
Spammers will just return when the feature does.

I've turned this off edit time limit for members off now (you'll be please to know @Redback😉 )

@.AJ. let me know if spammers return, I'll have to do a work around if so... hopefully they've backed off since changing it.

They are still at it, ive only locked the thread so others can see it for a short while before I unleash the hammer of doom 😂

Just to point out. as per the rules please dont edit sales threads. If you need to add/change info please add it in a post to the thread.

Thanks

Dave

That was the purpose of this, so we can change sales threads to sold.

Eg. I had to bump this thread to request it to be locked. It wasnt locked and still looked for sale. Thus its now edited as sold in the title.

This way im not having to bump other peoples sales threads off the page with a unrequired post.

You can always pm one of us to close a sales thread for you
