wombat Posted March 6, 2022 Share Posted March 6, 2022 Hi all, just a quick query Going to respray some spare body panels on the outside using spray meant for plastic, 2 or 3 coats. BigGinge Posted March 6, 2022 Share Posted March 6, 2022 Do you know what sort of plastic the panels are made from? If it is lexan/polycarbonate then I think it’s advisable to put down a base coat of polycarbonate paint directly onto the shell/panels before using any other paints (even “plastic” paints) to help it adhere better. Other than that a guess a finish coat of gloss or matte lacquer might make it slightly more durable but possibly not by a huge amount. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
